A lot of you have been asking.
Bison Shares are back this spring. If you haven’t bought one before, here is what that is: you reserve a portion of one animal — a Quarter, a Half, or a Whole — before harvest. You pay a deposit, we hold your share, and when the animal is processed you pick up a freezer full of specific cuts that were yours from the day we counted the herd.
It is the most direct way to buy bison from us. No middle, no mystery, and the per-pound price is better than any other way we sell it.
Why deposits.
So we know the animal has a home before it walks to the processor. We don’t harvest on speculation.
How many.
Small number this year. Fewer than we’d like, more than none. Spring closed in ten days last season. If you want in, the list is first-come, and the newsletter goes out before anyone else hears about it.
